Fun Recipes For Kids To Make

We would all love for our kids to keep out off the kitchen, and it can be a little bit nervy as a lot of awful things can happen if you are not careful while cooking.

But sometimes it's impossible.Take the stress out of the kitchen by Inviting the kids in to help cook these fun recipes.

Pizza Scroll Recipe

Makes 15 mini scrolls
  • 1.5 cups of self raising flour
  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt
  • Topping of your choice
 - Preheat the oven to 260 degrees
 - Mix the ingredients until combined
- Sprinkle self raising flour (not included in the recipe) onto kitchen bench or large board and transfer the dough, knead the dough for about 10 minutes adding more self raising flour if needed.
- Roll the dough to large rectangle shape
- Put pizza sauce and topping of your choice (ham & pineapple for this one),
- Gently roll it up, cut them about 3 cm wide each and place them on a baking tray with baking paper.
- Bake for 8 minutes and take them out to put cheese on top, put them back in the oven and bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese is bubbling.
I put a pinch of salt and some Italian herbs in the dough mix. the oven needs to be really hot for the dough to cook nice and fluffy

You can freeze these scrolls, perfect for lunch

Honey Sandwich

Honey sandwich, vanilla yogurt, corn, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, cheese cubes, grapes, watermelon, raspberries and chocolate-filled biscuits in Munchbox Midi 5

Sandwiches are one of the easiest things you can teach your kids. Not only does it teach great life skills such as how to prepare food, but also promotes independence and how to make healthy choices.

Start easy with spreads and pastes, my little girl loves honey sandwiches and loves using The single sandwich cutters like the butterfly sandwich cutter  to cut the crusts off and make into their favorite shape.
